Founded in Germany in 1946, ZÖLLNER Signal GmbH have been providing innovative safety solutions for marine and rail for over 75 years. As one of the world’s leading suppliers of Automatic Track Warning Systems, they continue to provide protection to thousands of workers across the world.

Used on hundreds of worksites across the world, MRWS are used to protect workers in track areas from approaching trains. The components in the MRWS family can be are modular and designed to be used in multiple safety configurations. This flexibly makes it possible to provide the best track safety solution for every worksite.

When a track vehicle approaches a worksite protected by a MRWS, the Autoprowa® system warns people in the track area with a warning signal that has been automatically adjusted to suit the ambient noise level. Warning lights remain active until the hazard is cleared from the system.

The modular set-up of Zoellner’s MRWS provides maximum flexibility, while the SIL-4 certified warning devices guarantee maximum safety.

Lookouts use a manual hand-switch to activate the warning. The warning is then issued on site by a mobile ZPW worn in a harness.

Once the hazard has passed, the warning is then cancelled by a LOWS Controller.
