The 157 Rail Profile Grinder is designed to grind the head and sides of the rail.
Rail profile grinders come supplied with a proven fast cut grinding wheel for maximum bite into the rail and a high cutting rate. The grinder has wide set rail rollers to achieve the smoothest finish possible. Flange rollers assist in supporting the weight of the grinder when grinding the rail face. Extended axles and larger flanged rollers are available for grinding crane rail.
For the FP-157-CV, the Yanmar diesel engine is modified in-house by Melvelle Equipment Corp to operate at high tilt angles and give much greater staying power under load than similar sized petrol engines.
