Our power packs have long established reputations. They are used on all of our products and are a key reason for our equipment’s good name. We have over 1000 machines working in very hot and arduous conditions, temperatures to 57 degrees ambient, as well as another 1500 additional earlier machines bearing the stamp of the Melvelle influence. The pressures range from 350 bar (HC5) to 78 litres / minute (HC18V) as well as other combinations to achieve specific goals. We only use engines which have an established reputation for reliability. These are mainly, Honda (petrol) and Yanmar, Deutz and Hatz (diesels). Some are also fitted with Briggs & Stratton engines.
Lack of effective heat control on other brands of power packs lead people to think that hydraulic tools in Australia are always too hot to be able to handle. This is NOT the case with our high performance cooling oil reservoir. The patented system, cools all the oil using the cooling engine induction air, drawn across a “massively finned” heat exchanger. Other products use large oil reservoirs in an attempt to hold oil temperatures down. We on the other hand keep the oil cool by reducing heat at its source-(the power pack) and using high capacity oil cooling systems. We either our patented heat exchanger/anti-cavitation oil reservoir system which utilises the large direct drive fan of the engine itself. Our other reservoirs are either finned cast aluminium or steel fabrication.
Over 25 years of development and refinement proves the reliability of this unique Australian system.

Noise Reduction & Work Light
Our Noise Reduced Power pack and Halogen Work Light have been specifically designed for night work in residential area. The Power pack has a reading of between 63 and 68 Dba at 3600 rpm @ 7 metres, this is a reduction from approx 89 Dba for a standard power pack. To put this into pespective this is actually quieter than most people’s normal conversation voices.
The 35 watt halogen light is incorporated into they system being powered by the power pack. The light can be attached to any power pack above 8 hp in our range in our range.
