Percussion Sampler PS165

Our highly portable Percussion Sampler is used to quickly sample soil and plant roots. A choice of either split inner tubes or clear plastic inner tubes allow easy sample removal and transport of the sample. The split tube sampler will take a maximum sample length of 1.25 metres, sample size of 63 mm major outer tube shoe size 76mm. Standard cable drive length 6 metres, a longer cable of 9 metres is also available. For greater distances a hydraulically powered Vibracore is available with the option of a diamond drilling hand held drill head and water pump.

A light weight petrol powered impact driver (42 Joules per blow) is capable of quickly driving the sampler to the full depth of 1 metre in around 1 minute depending on the type of soil being penetrated.

Pulling out the sample is aided with the winch and double fall rope system giving in excess of 750 kg pull. A light weight tripod is able to be quickly erected ensuring rapid sampling at a number of sites and for other tasks in the field.

Specifications:- Tripod base 2300 x 2800mm high. Total weight of complete unit 86kg. (including percussion hammer). Winch capacity 750kg double fall. The impact driving hammer weighs 23kg and impact energy of 42 joules, cycles at approx. 1300 blows per minute. Total length of impact driver 790mm, add driving attachment and sampler for overall lengths.
